Regulation 2, IRDAI (Fees of Micro-insurance agents) Regulations, 2012 [S3C-7DE]

Definitions.—In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999 (41 of 1999); (b) "micro-insurance agent" means a person carrying on the distribution of micro-insurance products; (c) "policy" means a policy received, held or disposed of by a micro-insurance agent in the course of the distribution of micro-insurance products; (d) "Form IRDA-3" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
