Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the District Magistrate in the custody of the Superintendent of the Home, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the District Magistrate; and where the Superintendent of the Home having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form VII within forty-five days of the succession.
