Surrender of certificate.—Every owner of an inland vessel who ceases to carry on the plying of an inland vessel shall, within ninety days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the Inland Waterways Authority in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form 8 of the manner in which every port clearance held by him has been disposed of.
