Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the occupant of public premises shall apply to the Competent Authority in Form 5 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees, and the Competent Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
