Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the retail vendor shall apply to the Excise Commissioner in Form G for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Excise Commissioner shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ten days of the application.
