Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Gram Sabha in the custody of the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Gram Sabha; and where the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form 6 within fourteen days of the succession.
