Application for registration.—Every importer of goods bearing a mark carrying on the import of goods bearing a registered mark shall make an application for registration to the Registrar of Copyrights in Form 3, within one hundred and eighty days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees and a statement of every mark held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for one hundred and eighty days from that date.
