Removal of difficulty.—Where a licensee of a firing range had, before the commencement of the Shillong (Rifle Range and Umlong) Cantonments Assimilation of Laws Act, 1954, carried on the operation of a firing range under a licence granted under the law then in force, such licence shall be deemed to have been granted under the Act and shall remain in force for seven days from such commencement or until it expires, whichever is earlier.
