Removal of difficulty.—Where a importer of food had, before the commencement of the Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Cattle Preservation Act, 2021, carried on the import of food under a licence granted under the law then in force, such licence shall be deemed to have been granted under the Act and shall remain in force for sixty days from such commencement or until it expires, whichever is earlier.
