Removal of difficulty.—Where a cable operator had, before the commencement of the Delivery of Books and Newspapers (Public Libraries) Act, 1954, carried on the transmission of programmes by cable under a licence granted under the law then in force, such licence shall be deemed to have been granted under the Act and shall remain in force for ninety days from such commencement or until it expires, whichever is earlier.
