2. Amendment of section 12.—In section 12 of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 2000 (Maharashtra Act 16 of 2000) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "twenty-five lakh rupees", the words "one crore rupees" shall be substituted.
