2. Amendment of section 28.—In section 28 of the Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj Act, 1993 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1993) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "one hundred rupees", the words "two thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
