Section 32, Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003 [S2K-ZZK]

32. Registration of generating companies.—(1) Every generating company shall, within sixty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the generation of electricity after such commencement, within sixty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Appropriate Commission in Form III, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees. (2) The Appropriate Commission shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No generating company shall carry on the generation of electricity unless registered under this section.
