Section 2, Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997 [S2K-6PA]

2. Definitions.—In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Licensing Authority" means the authority appointed under this Act to grant licences under this Act; (b) "manufacture" in relation to any drug, includes any process or part of a process for making, altering, ornamenting, finishing, packing, labelling, breaking up or otherwise treating or adopting any drug with a view to its sale or distribution; (c) "establishment" means a clinical establishment registered under this Act; (d) "notification" means a notification published in the Official Gazette, and the expression "notified" shall be construed accordingly; (e) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act.
