2. Amendment of section 9.—In section 9 of the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1985 (Karnataka Act 4 of 1985) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "five thousand rupees", the words "twenty-five thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
