2. Amendment of section 27.—In section 27 of the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1982) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "one lakh rupees", the words "fifty thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
