2. Amendment of section 6.—In section 6 of the Karnataka Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1962 (Karnataka Act 7 of 1962) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "one lakh rupees", the words "five lakh rupees" shall be substituted.
