1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu. (3) It shall come into force at once.
