13. Procedure for the maintenance of records.—(1) Every record officer shall, before undertaking the maintenance of records, intimate the Competent Authority in writing, specifying the record concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Competent Authority may, within thirty days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
