2. Amendment of section 36.—In section 36 of the Maharashtra Tenancy and Agricultural Lands Act, 1948 (Maharashtra Act 67 of 1948) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "five hundred rupees", the words "ten thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
