Section 2, Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 [S2G-M3Z]

2. Definitions.—In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "licence" means a licence granted under this Act; (b) "Commissioner" means the Commissioner appointed under this Act; (c) "transport" means to move from one place to another within the territory to which this Act extends; (d) "notification" means a notification published in the Official Gazette, and the expression "notified" shall be construed accordingly; (e) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act.
