Rule 12, Karnataka Stamp Act Rules, 1958 [S2F-4HQ]

12. Procedure for the registration of instruments.—(1) Every registering officer shall, before undertaking the registration of instruments, intimate the Collector in writing, specifying the stamp concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Collector may, within six months of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
