12. Procedure for the cultivation of land as tenant.—(1) Every tenant shall, before undertaking the cultivation of land as tenant, intimate the Collector in writing, specifying the land revenue concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Collector may, within ninety days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
