Section 11, Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955 [S2E-TKC]

11. Registration of legal practitioners.—(1) Every legal practitioner shall, within sixty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the practice of law after such commencement, within sixty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Registrar in Form C, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees. (2) The Registrar shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No legal practitioner shall carry on the practice of law unless registered under this section.
