Section 2, Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 [S2E-NHH]

2. Definitions.—In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "holding" means a portion of land held by a landholder under one lease, engagement or grant; (b) "Tahsildar" means the officer in charge of a tahsil appointed under this Act; (c) "notification" means a notification published in the Official Gazette, and the expression "notified" shall be construed accordingly; (d) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act.
