Section 2, Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949 [S2E-6ZB]

2. Definitions.—In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Licensing Authority" means the authority appointed under this Act to grant licences under this Act; (b) "registered medical practitioner" means a person who is registered in a State Medical Register or the Indian Medical Register; (c) "manufacture" in relation to any drug, includes any process or part of a process for making, altering, ornamenting, finishing, packing, labelling, breaking up or otherwise treating or adopting any drug with a view to its sale or distribution; (d) "notification" means a notification published in the Official Gazette, and the expression "notified" shall be construed accordingly; (e) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act.
