Section 20, General Clauses Act, 1897 [S2D-BF7]

20. Construction of notifications, etc., issued under enactments.—Where, by any Central Actor Regulation, a power to issue any notification, order, scheme, rule, form, or bye-law is conferred, then expressions used in the notification, order, scheme, rule, form or bye-law, if it is made after the commencement of this Act, shall, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context, have the same respective meanings as in the Act or Regulation conferring the power.
