13. Procedure for service on a ship.—(1) Every seaman shall, before undertaking service on a ship, intimate the Director-General in writing, specifying the certificate of registry concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Director-General may, within seven days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
