11. Registration of dealers in arms and ammunition.—(1) Every dealer in arms and ammunition shall, within fifteen days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the sale of arms and ammunition after such commencement, within fifteen days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the District Magistrate in Form III, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees. (2) The District Magistrate shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No dealer in arms and ammunition shall carry on the sale of arms and ammunition unless registered under this section.
