2. Amendment of section 60.—In section 60 of the Provisions of the Panchayats (Extension to the Scheduled Areas) Act, 1996 (40 of 1996) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "one hundred rupees", the words "two thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
