Section 32, Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019 [S29-0GG]

32. Registration of registereds priest.—(1) Every registered priest shall, within sixty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the solemnisation of marriages after such commencement, within sixty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Registrar General in Form III, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees. (2) The Registrar General shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No registered priest shall carry on the solemnisation of marriages unless registered under this section.
