46. Registration of foods business operator.—(1) Every food business operator shall, within fourteen days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the carrying on of a food business after such commencement, within fourteen days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Food Authority in Form B, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees. (2) The Food Authority shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No food business operator shall carry on the carrying on of a food business unless registered under this section.
