Section 4, Land Ports Authority of India Act, 2010 [S25-G5T]

4. Registration of ports authority.—(1) Every port authority shall, within seven days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the working of a port after such commencement, within seven days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Director-General in Form 2, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees. (2) The Director-General shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No port authority shall carry on the working of a port unless registered under this section.
