2. Amendment of section 29.—In section 29 of the Union Territories (Direct Election to the House of the People) Act, 1965 (49 of 1965) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "five thousand rupees", the words "twenty-five thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
