Section 2, National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Act, 2009 [S24-KGH]

2. Definitions.—In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "securities" has the meaning assigned to it in clause (h) of section 2 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956 (42 of 1956); (b) "Board" means the Securities and Exchange Board of India established under section 3 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992); (c) "intermediary" means a person registered under section 12 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992); (d) "issuer" means a person who issues or proposes to issue securities; (e) "listed" means listed on a recognised stock exchange; (f) "notification" means a notification published in the Official Gazette, and the expression "notified" shall be construed accordingly; (g) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act.
