2. Amendment of section 41.—In section 41 of the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999 (48 of 1999) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "eight thousand rupees", the words "16000 rupees" shall be substituted.
