2. Amendment of section 42.—In section 42 of the Coal Mines Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1948 (46 of 1948) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "twenty-five thousand rupees", the words "one lakh rupees" shall be substituted.
