2. Amendment of section 55.—In section 55 of the Armed Forces (Punjab and Chandigarh) Special Powers Act, 1983 (34 of 1983) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "nil rupees", the words "fifty thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
