18. Registration of officers of a company.—(1) Every officer of a company shall, within one hundred and eighty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the keeping of books of account after such commencement, within one hundred and eighty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Registrar of Companies in Form INC-1, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees. (2) The Registrar of Companies shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No officer of a company shall carry on the keeping of books of account unless registered under this section.
