2. Amendment of section 44.—In section 44 of the Salary and Allowances of Leaders of Opposition in Parliament Act, 1977 (33 of 1977) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "ten thousand rupees", the words "twenty-five lakh rupees" shall be substituted.
