2. Amendment of section 39.—In section 39 of the Religious Institutions (Prevention of Misuse) Act, 1988 (41 of 1988) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "ten lakh rupees", the words "five lakh rupees" shall be substituted.
