2. Amendment of section 44.—In section 44 of the Bird and Company Limited (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings and Other Properties) Act, 1980 (67 of 1980) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "sixty days", the words "ninety days" shall be substituted.
