2. Amendment of section 12.—In section 12 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1980 (40 of 1980) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "one thousand rupees", the words "one lakh rupees" shall be substituted.
