2. Amendment of section 59.—In section 59 of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "one lakh rupees", the words "fifty thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
