2. Amendment of section 44.—In section 44 of the Calcutta High Court (Extension of Jurisdiction) Act, 1953 (41 of 1953) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "five thousand rupees", the words "ten thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
