Section 14, British India Corporation Limited (Acquisition of Shares) Act, 1981 [S1R-W59]

14. Appeal.—(1) Any person aggrieved by an order of the Collector under this Act may, within thirty days from the date on which the order is communicated to him, prefer an appeal to the Competent Authority in such form and accompanied by such fee as may be prescribed. (2) The appellate authority may, after giving the appellant an opportunity of being heard, confirm, modify or set aside the order appealed against. (3) No appeal shall lie under this section against an order made with the consent of the parties.

Collector: Section 2, British India Corporation Limited (Acquisition of Shares) Act, 1981 [S1RVS8] (In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,—): "Collector" means the Collector of a district, and includes a Deputy Commissioner and any officer specially appointed by the appropriate Government to perform the functions of a Collector under this Act
