Section 53, Export-Import Bank of India Act, 1981 [S1R-Q18]

53. Registration of units.—(1) Every unit shall, within sixty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the setting up of a unit after such commencement, within sixty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Director General in Form SEZ-1, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees. (2) The Director General shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No unit shall carry on the setting up of a unit unless registered under this section.
