2. Amendment of section 49.—In section 49 of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 (24 of 1958) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "ten thousand rupees", the words "fifty thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
