Section 18, Metro Railways (Construction of Works) Act, 1978 [S1Q-X0G]

18. Registration of consignors.—(1) Every consignor shall, within seven days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the consignment of goods by railway after such commencement, within sixty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Railway Administration in Form A, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees. (2) The Railway Administration shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No consignor shall carry on the consignment of goods by railway unless registered under this section.
