Rule 10, Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act Rules, 1975 [S1P-VJ1]

10. Procedure for the holding of foreign exchange.—(1) Every person resident in India shall, before undertaking the holding of foreign exchange, intimate the Director General in writing, specifying the foreign exchange concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Director General may, within thirty days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
